Wabi Sabi Vegetarian Noodle House

I am such a messy blogger. I'm supposed to create a series of blogs about our recent travel but then I remembered I have one pending Food blog.

So, yes, here it is -- Wabi Sabi!

Wabi Sabi is the first ever vegetarian restaurant I've ever tried. I'm not really a fan of veggies, but this one I really liked! It didn't feel like I'm missing anything.

Rye had the Shoyu Ramen while I ordered the Vietnamese Pho. I honestly don't know what's on our dishes but it tastes good so I really didn't care. :P

Aside from these, we also tried their yummy Vegetarian Bahn Mi sandwich that we really loved! It tastes better than meat sandwiches. We asked what's the beef-like filling that they used as substitute for meat and they said it's "Vegetable Magic". First time we've heard of it, but it was magical indeed!

By the way, we tried this new place because of a coupon Rye bought. We had some more credits to spare so we also tried their Siomai and Veggie Cracklings. I didn't like the Siomai that much but the Veggie cracklings is not a bad substitute for chicharon cravings. Hehe.

The restaurant's ambiance is nothing fancy but it's just right for a noodle house.

But when you first enter their place, your eyes would definitely catch their Noodle War photo wall. It features their Pho-loving customers, which they call team "Fernando Pho, Jr" , and Ramen fans which is on team "Ramen Padilla". Haha. Very Witty.

Okay so this makes me on team Fernando Pho, Jr and Rye on Ramen Padilla.

I was able to finish my Pho and I was so full! Happy tummy! But this is a different happy tummy experience. I'm full but there's no heaviness I usually have when I eat until I'm stuffed. I usually have to stop myself from eating to prevent that heavy tummy feeling. :(

As I mentioned, this is the first vegetarian restaurant I've ever tried and it was a great experience! I might try other vegetarian restaurants now. If only I could only cook something like this everyday, I might become a convert!

Wabi Sabi Noodle House and Vegetarian Grocery is located in The Collective at Malugay Street in Makati.
